"Ambassadors for the King: Having a Heart for Jesus' Mission": In our morning worship, we are continuing our study of the Gospel of Matthew. We are looking at Matthew 10 when Jesus sends his twelve disciples out into the world to be instruments of the Gospel in word and deed to the "lost sheep" of the world. Is Knollwood being useful for advancing His Kingdom in Sylacauga and east-central Alabama? How can we be effective disciples? Join us on Sunday mornings as we explore this further.
Library Hours: Sunday 9 am - 6 pm and other times are available by appointment.
Vacation BIble School: Knollwood PCA is joining with Marble City Baptist Church at Noble Park for VBS this year! This will be an exciting time partnering with our brothers and sisters in Christ as we instruct our children and reach out to those who might not be involved in church. The VBS will be every Wednesday night in July ("WOWtastic Wednesdays!) and we want YOU to help. You can help with set-up, teach, be a leader, prepare food, lead music, games and more. Most importantly, you are need to PRAY for God to touch our hearts and those we come in contact with. Fill out the form in the Bulletin and let us know what you are willing to do. Plans are being made now...watch for future updates!
Youth Community Group: T.C. Ledbetter will now be leading the youth community group. We will still meet on Sunday nights after evening worship (either at the church or in homes.)
Schedule for June:
June 12 (Dinner: Joetta Morgan)
June 26 (Dinner: Mildred Morgan)
Youth Beach Retreat, June 6-10: Please pray for the students from Knollwood and Community Presbyterian (Moody) as they go to Panama City, FL for a beach retreat. Pray for good friendships to be made, for safety, and for God to be at work. Harris will be the speaker and the theme of the retreat is "Finding Joy from the Presence of God." Pray this is exactly what will happen in a mighty way.
Summer Sunday School: This summer the Women's Class will be studying John Piper's Desiring God - a video class, with discussion. In the Men's Class, men will rotate leading and sharing from their favorite Bible passages. Youth will participate in the adult classes until the Fall term begins.
Welcome New Members: The Blanchard family (Rob, Leah, Georgia and Celia) and T.C. & Amanda Ledbetter met with the session on May 22nd and were received as members of our church. The Blanchards will come before our Congregation on May 29th and the Ledbetters on June 5th. Both of these families have been a part of our body and we are glad that they are now "official!"
Baby Bottle Boomerang: Bring your change (or bills!) to fill up the baby bottles for Coosa Valley Resources for Women, now through Father's Day. (We will resume the Life Change the following Sunday.)
